My husband and I were stunned to learn that the divorce rate here in the United States is higher than 50%. We always regarded this country as one of the few Evangelical countries in the world, where people in fact, openly speak about God in their everyday lives. There are discussions referencing God on secular radios and if God is mentioned in any conversation outside a church, people actually listen, unlike many other places in the world. It was shocking, to say the least, to see and recognize the rapid deterioration of the institution of marriage in such a religious country.
God wanted us to take note of this widespread situation so He could inspire us to bring about Godly perspective and change. Towards the end of 2009, we had developed a marriage program based on all the common issues of spouses by and large, as well as couples who are considering marital commitments. Additionally, we delved into the specifics of “what”, “why” and “how” in order to have a successful matrimony.

We called it “The Succeed in Marriage Course” which has been operating ever since. Every two (2) months or so, we meet three (3) times a week with other registered couples for a total of two and a half (2 1/2) weeks. We conduct the course together with Bishop David Higginbotham and his wife Evelyn – our work colleagues and friends of many, many years.
