The 27 qualities

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)
It is not about how we are but rather, who we are. Who are you?
Write 27 qualities about yourself…here goes my own list:
1. I am sincere
2. I always tell the truth
3. I trust easily
4. I am courageous when it comes to things that matter
5. I am spiritually strong
6. I know God
7. I love easily
8. I like to innovate a lot
9. I always use my faith
10. I believe in what’s good
11. I love God, myself, my family, friends and work colleagues, the church, people I don’t know yet, and nature
12. I am fun
13. I like dressing up
14. I like decorating
15. I like teaching
16. I like organizing
17. I am pleasant
18. I am happy
19. I like to laugh and to smile
20. I am a daughter, sister, friend, mother and a wife with great pleasure
21. I give what has been given to me
22. I share everything that does me good

24. I don’t get tired of doing what’s good

26. I am not a talker but if the subject is faith, I don’t stop talking
27. I am not perfect, yet I still find myself beautiful

I am always hard on myself, I never recognize or appreciate any goodness in me.
Often I write down wrong qualities and bad attitudes in me.
Now I will take time to write my good qualities following your example.

I am not in the UK at the moment, but heard all about the V Woman and Sisterhood meetings that took place! Last week I made a list of 27 things I love about myself and I realised that though I am not perfect, I have some great qualities! I think this was a great idea, because the purpose is not for us to become arrogant and dismiss all of our faults. Self-improvement is constant! However, it’s so easy for us to remember and focus on the negative and to forget about our many good qualities. In my opinion, knowing yourself and loving yourself is what gives you the ability to go out there and make a difference – because you are comfortable in your own skin, you know who you are and you are confident with it!
Sometimes we intend to forget the good in us and only focus in the bad! But we all have good in us it’s just a matter knowing it!
I remember when you asked us to write 27 qualities about our self. I thought wow 27, I don’t have that many I could find way more negative things . We tend to dwell soo much more on the negative that we don’t see the positives in us . I really started searching and even tried to remember compliments that I had received from others based on my personality and before I knew it I was way past the 27 mark.
Thanks Mrs Cris for making me focus a whole lot more on the positive me and looking to improve who I am.
Thanks for sharing Mrs Cris. I will work on my own. Reading yours, I didn’t think I would reach 27 when writing mine, but this will challenge me to really do some introspection.

I am sure you even have so much more good things about yourself. I realised this when I was writing my own qualities even though I still only wrote 27.
I began to see the good things about myself and I thank God for the opportunity to expose them.

I’ve also written my 27. Qualities on the sisterhood page but by reading that verse from (1 Samuel 16:7) Allowed me to have a better understanding that man only sees our outwards appearance but God sees what’s inside our heart. Sometimes were so busy wanting to prove ourself to man forgetting God sees what’s inside our heart & that’s all that matters.
When I first got this task I thought yes this is nice it’s good to think positive about yourself. But only until now do I truly understand this task after reading this…Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthymeditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8 NKJV)
Combining what you said and reading this I thought to myself if we do not meditate on what is good we can never promote ourselves because we will never feel worthy of promotion…

This task is a good one. I did not know that I could write so many things about myself. It put a lot of things into perspective for me. It’s weird because after I had just finished listing out these qualities I began to remember other things. Wow talk about self-discovery in just 27 qualities.
