When you are born of God III…

You no longer fear death. You know that after it, a better life will come. You know that all goes away and therefore, you don’t get attached to anything and only one thing matters to you: your eternity.
Everything you invest in is for your eternity. Your friendships, marriage, career, studies, behaviour…everything has one objective. That is why you are careful whom you choose to marry…you don’t marry just any handsome man that tells you: “I love you”. You look for much more than what your eyes can see.
You don’t keep grudges, you don’t live in sin and avoid places and people that could lead you to bad ways – all because of your eternity.
People mock you today, and so what? Today doesn’t matter, what matters is your eternity.

It is true that everything will pass away and what matters is our tomorrow… It is said that we were made for eternity and we should invest to make sure that our etenity will be with our God.
This is very true Mrs Cris! When I was a child I used to cry because I feared death… In my previous church, they said that we have heaven, hell and purgatory. I recognize that I am a sinner, but I also didn’t accept that I would go to hell when i die so I assumed that I would go to purgatory, suffer there for a period of time as payment for my sins and eventually will go to heaven when I paid for my punishment. But in UCKG, I learned that purgatory doesn’t exist. My soul either go to hell or heaven only, nowhere else. I learned that to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, I must be born of the water and born of the Spirit. I realized that the judgment doesn’t happen after death, but the judgment is actually happening now.
A person who is truly born of God is no longer afraid to die if you are sure of your salvation. If you are sure that you are following God’s commandments. You do everything to be pleasing in the eyes of the Lord, disregarding if you displease men. Because you can never please God and at the same time, please men if you were His true servant.

Everything we do and say has an objective. Where we lead our soul, we decide today because we can’t garantee we’ll be alive tomorrow. When we have no fear of dying is because we know where we are going.
Only God to give us this inner peace of not fearing to die because if we are right with Him nothing else matters.
I remember how much I longed to know Him. I told Him once if I die I don’t know where I am going. I was not sure of my salvation but when I received Him I had a natural assurance that I was His and He confirms to us that we are His children.
I was getting discouraged but the Holy Spirit used someone to always be asking me why was I not receiving the Holy Spirit and though I would get annoyed not understanding why I wasn’t. I obeyed him when he told me to seek and that night I would receive. And just as He instructed me I to do at the time and to read and so I did. I sought him different without emotion and it was so strange that was the day I was baptised. God works in mysteries ways but only until then did I understand that it was Him seeking after me all that time when He would use His servant to be questioning me to not forget that He wanted me more just as He wants to baptize eveyone who is now seeking to have an Encounter with the Him. Know what I don’t ever want to lose is His Prescence. I could lose anything but not Him.
The journey seemed long but it was worth not giving up because I found My Treasure.
These are very helpful posts, because many times we have the wrong idea of being born of God, such as the person is perfect or they have no problems, etc. That is how many are so close and yet give up for giving into doubts and accusations from the devil.

Those who are truly Born of God they are no longer afraid in where they will go after they die because they have assurance in themselves that they are saved and they no longer don’t care if what the other people might tell them them because the top priority that they have is their salvation. This is powerful Mrs Cris, to be born of God is what we have to, because if you are not born of God your life is in danger, what if you die today, where will your soul be. so let us not be the church gowers, we must be born of God.

Sometimes we do things we are not proud of, mostly because we want to spite or revenge on someone, but at the end of it all, it comes back to haunt you. You later realize that you are wasting time on things of this world that will perish, they are not for eternity. I learned this the hard way. Never to be repeated.It’s time for changes in me.

Thank you for sharing this with us Mrs. Cris. No one who is not born again will see God. The purpose we exist is for us to do the will of God, to obey his command and to serve others. To strive to do what is right at all times. Salvation is so serious that the bible in the book of Mark 9:43-48 says If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out . And if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off, it it better to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out, it is better to for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have the two eyes and be thrown into hell, where the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched

What you say above is exactly the right way to be. You have to fight so much to keep safe, you cannot marry just someone who is beautiful and says I love you as you say, people say I love you, all day, and the worst crimes are committed by those same people. We seek God help and his counsel, we pray and i hope i don’t get in the way of myself too much. Even if it is terribly awful hard, you have to be prepared to move off until you get the right one. As you say it’s about eternity, and eternity is a very long time Christiane!
I don’t hold a grudge, but thinking out loud, we have to protect ourselves and as well as making sure we don’t tread on other people, we have to never destroy and hurt people Jesus said to us
“be as wise as the serpent but as harmless as doves”, if we do anything that might have a bad consequence for someone, we are being that serpent, and Jesus never did that to us, he only said “go and sin no more” He did not crush us, curse us, throw us away like a nothing!
Pain passes, tears pass, but eternal joy Christiane, isn’t it worth everything,if we be honest and don’t hurt people because we want, and if we love Jesus and be obedient, we can have this wonderful, wonderful unimaginable beauty, forever, Isn’t it good news Sweety!

All three chapters of When you are born of God are so amazing. Blessed are those who are born of God. I was always blaming others, holding grudges and feeling self pity for all the wrong things I did or happened in my life. Now being in the presence of God, I have stopped blaming others and have started taking responsibility. I Love this change in myself.
