Where is God?

Have you ever heard people saying: Where is God? Why does hunger exist? Why are there so many wars? Why doesn’t He bring peace to this world? Where is God’s love?

I’ve heard it many times. But when I hear this I can’t help to think: what have these people been doing so that God can do something in their lives? Many think that just by the fact of “believing” in the existence of God, it is enough.

Let me give you an example: Do you like it when someone only remembers about you when he is in need of something from you? Or, someone who is only your friend because he knows you can bring him benefits? Or says “I love you” just to get something from you and when he gets what he wants, immediately forgets about you?

I’m pretty sure your answer is “no”, to the questions above. Unfortunately, many do the exact same with God. Many only think of Him when going through a tough time, and when they see no result, immediately get upset and start to complain saying: Where is God? Why doesn’t He answer me?

God loves us unconditionally, but He can only act in lives of those who are devoted to Him. Who seek Him no matter what, through good or bad.

It’s the same in a marriage. Do you want your husband to be faithful to you only for a few months or everyday? God wants our faithfulness to His word everyday, so that He can give us all of the thousands of promises His word has for us.

If you are one of those people who are always complaining about God and is always questioning God’s love, I would like to leave you with a question:

What have you been doing for God and WHERE is your love for Him?
