Lazy, feeling down, willing to die

Dear Cristiane,

I’m 15 years old and am almost 10 years in the church; however, I’ve only really woken up to the faith in the last few months (unfortunately). I have so much to write about, but what I really want to say is what the Holy Spirit has done through your book ‘The V Woman’. Beginning with the fact that I used to be so lazy. I was always feeling down and tried to kill myself a number of times (I’ve lost count the times I tried using knives and razors). Once I even tried to throw myself off the window. I hated myself so much that I stopped taking care of myself and gained 40 pounds.

This last Fasting of Daniel, that happened last month, I said to myself: ‘It’s now or never!’ and I began to read your book. Little by little, my strength began to grow, and things that I couldn’t do before, I began to do, even pray. I got the strength to take care of my spiritual life and myself.

Everyone is shocked at how much I’ve changed; they say I’m a new Karol.

On the last day of the year, I decided to do something I had never done before (just to practice that chapter you talk about V Women taking initiatives, I learned it ha-ha!). I prepared breakfast in bed for my parents and to my surprise, they thought I was sick! My mother even asked me ‘Are you alright?’ All I could do was laugh for my father had asked me the same thing earlier.

Now I wake up before everyone in the house, fix my room, get myself ready and beautiful, check out my sister’s room and even the bathrooms. I make time to pray and seek God, and I occupy my mind with things that add to my life, especially the Bible.

I’m becoming a V Woman!

Oh and I almost forgot… before reading the book, I had given up a dream I used to have in serving God on the Altar. Well, I’m glad to say that dream is mine again, and this time, it’ll become a reality soon.

Thank you for letting the Holy Spirit use you to help me get out of the rut I lived in. May God bless you more!

In faith,

Karol de Souza

Dear Karol,

I was so happy to read your comment that I decided to post it as a blog here. It’s good to know that a simple book can be used by God to change a life, now imagine how much God can use you to change others? You can make a difference in the world just do what this book did to you to others through your life.

Thank you too!

Isaiah 7

PS. Today I’m travelling to Israel with our V Woman and Sisterhood groups and will be posting daily pictures through my twitter. In case you don’t follow me yet, please do so @CrisCardoso. I hope I can continue posting blogs here daily, especially where I’ll be doing it from but in case the Internet there does not help, I’ll make sure to prepare everything so that in my return, I write everything that God spoke to me while ‘I was away’ here.

    Hello Mrs Cristiane,
I wanted to tell you that I cannot read your book because I feel that your actions lack humility. Sometimes even when I read your posts in the FiA magazine, they come across quite aggressive. You also come across to me as a proud person. I don’t know if that pride is due to the fact that people despise or criticize the UCKG. So it’s like you want to prove them a point. You also give me the impression to want to provoke people to jealousy purposely. It is like your response to people’s attacks. I am not writing this to you because I am jealous of you. Not at all. I am the type of person who fights not to get evil thoughts to come to her mind, but I really want you to know how you can sometimes come across. Because I really have difficulties to read what you write because how you provoke in a certain way. I thought honesty is better than silence.

I’m sorry you feel that way about me and you see me in that light. May God who truly knows me show you who I am someday.

Honestly, this is a real blessing and it just shows that many times people think that just because you’ve been in the church or grown up in the church it means your saved. there are many who go and are litteraly spiritually dead or asleep, but because Karol wanted, she had to make a decision and through her decision it brought her to a new life which can help many young women today..

    PS. I MUST READ V-WOMAN! :)
